Create a shortcut to (map) a network drive
Applies to Windows 10 and Windows 11
Mapping a network drive allows you to create a shortcut to a shared folder on the network. This makes it easy to access the folder without having to search for it or type its network address every time.
Click the File Explorer icon from the taskbar.
In the left-hand pane, right-click This PC, then select Map network drive from the context menu.
In the Drive list, select a drive letter. (Any available letter will do.)
In the Folder box, type the network path of the shared folder (e.g., \\servername\sharename).
Click Finish
